Christmas Programs 2011

Please join us in thanking the following groups for hosting events to benefit our food bank during our annual Christmas Campaign.  Many more groups also contributed through events and activities at local businesses, schools, churches, community clubs and organizations:

Loblaw Extra Helping Holiday 2011 Campaign—Real Canadian Superstore and Real Canadian Wholesale Club collected food and funds for local food banks.  

Centre Village Mall & Rock 106 Toy Mountain - collected new toys for children in need

Heaven on Earth—Evangelical Free Church.  This annual musical production coolected over $28,000 for our local food banks.

Davis GMC Buick 16th Annual Free Lube, Oil & Filter —provided a Free Oil Lube & Filter to anyone who made a minimum donation to local food banks.

Sobey’s Hampers of Hope— Dallas again headed to the roof top to encourage the community to purchase Hampers of Hope to support our local food banks!

Save On Foods Stuff A Bus— Save On Foods, Lethbridge Transit and many volunteers worked to stuff a city bus full of food from our most wanted lists.

A Christmas Carol—Lethbridge Sunrise Rotary presented a dramatic retelling of Dicken’s Classic to benefit local food banks.   

Sobeys Uplands Winter Wonderland— customers enjoyed a Winter Wonderland that included food, festivities and good-old winter fun!  Pre-packaged hampers containing some of our most wanted items were available for purchase to benefit local food banks.

Annual Mayor’s Christmas Concert—Lethbridge Community Bands hosted this annual concert that included musical entertainment and carol singing.  Gifts of food and funds were collected for local food banks.

Christmas at Annandale— The Historic Christmas House on the corner of 4th Ave. South and 13th Street invited members of the community to tour the inside and outside by donation to our local food banks. 

Lethbridge Hurricanes Teddy Bear Toss— New stuffed toys were collected at the game and distributed to a number of local agencies.
